The New Website Is Live!

As I mentioned in a prior post, I have been busily working on redoing my website to give it a more modern and up-to-date appearance. As is almost always the case when doing this sort of thing, it takes much (much, much) longer and becomes much more involved than one would like. The ‘click and drag’ and you will have a website ready in a few hours is nonsense, to say the least! It has taken me several weeks, but I have revamped the site, and it is now open for viewing.

If you have a few free moments, I would love for you to have a look at the site (if you are getting this post by email, the site is at www.howardgrill.com). You can even do me a favor or two:

  • If you happen to see any glaring errors, misspellings, or links that don’t work, please let me know either in the comments below or by using the website contact form. After staring at the pages for so long, I’m surprised I can still even spell my own name correctly, let alone identify other errors.

  • I am determined to have a regular publication. If you ever signed up for the publication on my alternate site, Art & Heath (which is going away, as maintaining one site is difficult enough - plus I never carried through on that publication), those subscriptions don’t carry over to here. So, if you have any interest in receiving my new quarterly Photography/ART, I would appreciate it if you would sign up here. That will also allow me to test and see if the subscription form is working!

  • Some folks have told me that they hadn’t realized that signing up for my publication is different from signing up to receive my blog posts by e-mail. So, for example, at the bottom left of this post is a link to sign up for Photography/ART and at the bottom right is a link to get my blog posts by e-mail. You can choose to do one, both, or neither - but it’s a website launch party so you don’t want to do neither, right :)

  • Any other suggestions about the site styling and font (easy enough to read, too large, too small, lines too wide etc.) are appreciated as well!

But wait….I need a photo to go with this post.

This is the third in my series of reflections in a pool of water from a fountain near my home. The reflections are always different, even from second to second.
