FAQ
What is your return policy?
Purchasing something as personal and subjective as artwork via the internet can be difficult. After all, a print cannot be fully appreciated until it is seen with one's own eyes. It is for this reason that I offer the following simple and straightforward guarantee:
If, for any reason whatsoever, you are not totally delighted with your print, simply return it, and I will gladly refund the purchase price or exchange it for a different print. Take up to one month to decide if the artwork is right for your home or office!
Are your prints archival quality?
All my prints are made using pigment-based inks and museum-grade fine art papers, all of which are archival. More specifically, matte finish prints are made using thick 308 gsm Hahnemuhle Photo Rag fine art paper, while those with a luster finish are made using 310 gsm Canson Platine Fiber Rag fine art paper. They will last a lifetime without fading or color shifts.
Who Does Your Printing?
I do my own in-house printing. I do not use third-party printers, as I want to ensure that I deliver the best quality product available. Your print doesn’t ship until I am personally pleased with the result and ensure that it represents my full artistic vision.
Will you sign my print?
Absolutely! My 8.5x11 inch prints are signed on the reverse, while prints larger than that are signed in the white border around the image. In this way, you can decide if you would like to mat the print with the border and signature showing or run the mat right to the edge of the image.
What happens if my print is damaged during shipping?
I package my prints securely, and large prints are shipped in heavy cardboard tubes. Damage during shipping is rare, but it can happen, particularly if that 60-inch TV on the shelf above it in the delivery truck falls onto the shipping tube :) If there is any damage to the print, please contact me and I will be glad to replace it at no cost. I don’t consider the sale complete until you are totally satisfied with your purchase.
Do you give camera club talks?
Yes, and I enjoy doing so. Thus far, I have spoken to clubs about how viewing and producing artwork can affect one’s health and about various hand embellishment techniques that can be used in conjunction with photography. I am available to speak about other topics as well. Talks can be given in person or via Zoom.
Let me know what you might be interested in hearing about, and if I have a level of expertise in the topic, I will let you know!
If I purchase one of your cradled wooden panel print presentations, how protected is the print itself?
I enjoy the cradled panel presentation because it:
is an interesting and unique way of presenting the print,
It eliminates the need for matting and framing (though the panel itself can be hung directly on the wall or mounted into a glass-free floater frame like used for canvases),
is a more intimate way of viewing the print because there is no glass between the print and the viewer, and
unlike typical frames, it mounts flush with the wall through its entirety, giving a clean appearance.
That said, the print is more exposed. However, it is coated with a protective spray that is not visible in any way and does not alter the colors in the image. Generally, mild marks can be wiped off with a minimally moistened cloth. Nonetheless, they are probably best hung out of the reach of small children, particularly if your children, as mine did, have a tendency to indulge in the spaghetti with red sauce toss across the room!
Why don’t you offer wood panel presentations for all your images?
I don’t build the cradled wood panels myself, I purchase them, and they are only manufactured in very specific sizes. Therefore, I am only able to mount images whose width-to-height ratios are appropriate to allow equally sized borders when mounted to the pre-sized panels.
Do you produce your work as NFTs?
Even though NFTs seem to be all the rage these days, I am traditional when it comes to artwork. I do not produce NFTs.
