Pear Orchard

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph with fellow photographer and friend Alex Morley in the Columbia River Gorge, near the Oregon/Washington border. There are many pear orchards there (lots of pears come from Oregon…..who knew?) and we just happened to be there when the pear trees were in full bloom. It felt like we were floating in a sea of white!

We (Alex actually :) had gotten permission from one of the farmers to photograph on his property and there were many compositions to be had when walking down the numerous rows of pear trees. This one, with the red barn as a focal point of interest was one of my favorites. It was definitely a great trip!
