Stillness

I never can tell what I’m going to find when quickly scrolling through my archives. The fact that the photos haven’t been processed doesn’t mean anything in my hands because I am a slow processor and tend to work on only a small number of the images I make.

This one hails back to a family trip to Florida back in 2013. I am sure everyone was sleeping when I sneaked out in the morning to nearby Curry Hammock State Park for sunrise .

The feel at the location was that of stillness, quiet, peace, and solitude and I tried to convey these feelings in the way I processed the images. I wanted to give the photos a light and ‘pastelish’ feel.
