Fall At McConnell's Mill

It isn’t necessarily widely known, but Western Pennsylvania typically boasts excellent fall color. For some reason though, this year seems to be a bit different. There are some yellows to be found, but most of the leaves seem to be drying up and falling off the tree before displaying colorful reds. I’m sure there is some reason for it, but I don’t know what it is. Nonetheless, that shouldn’t keep anyone from going out and trying to find what you can.

I took a trip out to McConnell’s Mill State Park and was able to find some of those yellows to photograph along Slippery Rock Creek.

I just recently got to process this fall photo from a couple years back which I took in Ohio’s Cuyahoga National Park (the country’s smallest National Park, I believe).
