Can You Do Serious Photography On A Family Vacation?

Family vacations and serious photography? Is it even possible?? It seems difficult, at least for me, and that’s the topic of this ‘3 Minute Photo Thought’! It can be a tough issue when you’re vacationing someplace far away (though that seems so long ago in this Covid era) that’s photogenic and which you may not be able to get back to soon (or ever).

What are your experiences with this issue? How have you attempted to mix the two? How successful have you been at it?
