Another Experiment

In my last post, I described an experiment I had done with multiple separate photographs (36 to be exact) of five flowers in a vase, all taken from different angles, and brought into Photoshop as layers and combined to make one impressionistic image by varying layer opacities and blending modes. I was really fascinated by the results and decided to continue experimenting.

On this occasion, I decided to see what would happen if I used a vase of smaller flowers. This image is a combination of 15 photos from different angles. This time I will also include one of the 15 shots so you can see what the vase with flowers ‘really’ looked like, though it felt much more like the final combined image.

Here is the original. I have obviously cropped, added textures, and made some basic brightness and contrast adjustments to the image after blending the 15 photos. And it still holds true that Trader Joe’s is a great place for flowers'!
